Villapark honestly caught me off guard – I mean, you walk up and it looks pretty unassuming from the outside, but there’s something immediately welcoming about the way the staff greets you at the front desk. This three-star place has that comfortable, lived-in feeling where you can tell they actually care about getting the details right, and after staying there a few times, I’ve started to appreciate how they manage to keep things simple without cutting corners.

What really works here is the balance they’ve struck between being affordable and still feeling like you’re somewhere nice. The rooms are clean and well-maintained – not fancy, but you know what? Sometimes that’s exactly what you want. The beds are actually comfortable (I’m picky about this), and the bathrooms have decent water pressure, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many places mess that up. I also noticed they keep the common areas genuinely tidy throughout the day, not just during morning housekeeping rounds.

The thing that keeps me coming back is how the place runs smoothly without feeling corporate or scripted. Check-in is quick, the Wi-Fi works properly in all the rooms I’ve tried, and there’s usually someone around who can point you toward whatever you’re looking for in the area. They’ve got that sweet spot where you feel looked after without anyone hovering or trying to upsell you on everything.

Look, it’s not going to wow you with marble lobbies or fancy amenities, but Villapark delivers on the fundamentals really well. If you want a place where you can actually relax without worrying about whether you’re getting decent value for your money, this works. The 8.6 rating makes perfect sense once you’ve stayed there – it’s the kind of place that just does its job properly, and sometimes that’s worth more than all the bells and whistles.

  The Appartment is really spacious, new, modern, cosy and very well equipped (kitchen with variable cutlery, dish washer, coffee machine, washing mashing, iron, fan, vacuum cleaner), detailed information provided via booking chat. Two bedrooms and a kitchen plus a dining room on the second floor. Check in 16, check out 11, entrwance by code. Three back yard parking spaces (upon availability) or 5 min walk free parking under bridge at your own risk or garage parkbee at distance or 2eur per hour. Cleaning and bed linen and towels change once per week. Despite closeness to highway it’s quite quiet district. Supermarkets are 5-7 min walk. Reasonable cost compared to other options in Rotterdam. 10 by car to the city centre.
