Midtown Hotel Rotterdam Overview
First Impressions
Walking into Midtown Hotel Rotterdam, you immediately get that “this is exactly where I need to be” feeling. It’s one of those three-star places that doesn’t try to be something it’s not — just solid, comfortable, and honestly pretty smart about what travelers actually want. The lobby has this clean, modern vibe without being sterile, and the staff genuinely seems to know what they’re doing. The attention to detail in the design creates an inviting atmosphere that makes guests feel welcome from the moment they arrive.
Location & Getting Around
Here’s the thing about staying in Rotterdam — location is everything, and this place nailed it. You’re right on Delftsestraat in the Centrum, which means you can walk to pretty much everything worth seeing. I mean, the Markthal is maybe ten minutes away, and you’re close enough to the waterfront that you’ll find yourself wandering down there without really planning it. The parking situation is typical for a city center (read: not cheap), but honestly, you won’t need a car much once you’re settled in. Public transportation connections are excellent, making it easy to explore beyond the immediate neighborhood.
The Room Experience
The room I stayed in was exactly what you’d expect from a well-run three-star — clean, functional, and surprisingly quiet given how central everything is. The beds are actually comfortable (not always a given), and there’s enough space to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. What I appreciated most was the attention to small details — good lighting for reading, decent water pressure, and windows that actually open if you want some fresh air. Each room is thoughtfully appointed with modern amenities that enhance your stay.
Exploring the Neighborhood
You know what’s great about this spot? You’re in the real Rotterdam, not some tourist bubble. There’s a good restaurant scene within walking distance — everything from casual Dutch places to more international options. The area comes alive in the evenings, but it’s not rowdy or overwhelming. Couples seem to really get this location (apparently they rate it pretty highly), and I can see why — it’s got that perfect mix of urban energy and walkable charm. The neighborhood offers authentic local experiences that showcase the city’s vibrant culture.
Why Guests Love It
Look, this isn’t going to be the fanciest place you’ve ever stayed, but it gets the fundamentals right in a way that actually matters. The location score speaks for itself — when you’re this well-positioned in Rotterdam’s center, you spend less time figuring out logistics and more time actually enjoying the city. It’s the kind of place where you check in, drop your bags, and immediately feel like you can start exploring. For the price point and the location, it’s honestly hard to argue with what you’re getting here. The hotel represents excellent value for travelers seeking comfort and convenience in a prime urban setting.
To book hotel in Rotterdam during the spectacular North Sea Jazz Festival, visitors should make reservations well in advance as this innovative port city attracts millions of tourists from around the world seeking modern architecture and Dutch maritime heritage.

Short 10 min walk from Central Station. The room was clean & comfortable. But it was a bit disconcerting with one-way glass right onto the footpath which was hard to get used to.
Susan from United Kingdom (7/10)
The owner was very helpful fixing the few problems that occurred. And the location was great, the room was clean and a good size, it was comfortable and the facilities were good (although a microwave and/or toaster would have been useful in the kitchen).

My friends and i really enjoyed our stay in the Midtown Hotel! The room and bathroom was nice, clean and spacious and we felt in good hands due to the host Natasja. She was honestly so helpful, always made sure we were okay and gave us tips for the city.
