What really sold me on the place was how the staff actually knew the neighborhood. When I asked about grabbing coffee that wasn’t Starbucks, the guy at reception didn’t just point me to the nearest chain – he told me about this little spot around the corner where locals actually hang out, and mentioned they do proper stroopwafels on Saturdays. That kind of local knowledge makes such a difference when you’re trying to get a real feel for a city. The rooms themselves are pretty compact (it’s Rotterdam city center, so no surprises there), but they’ve done something clever with the space. Everything feels intentional rather than cramped, and the wifi actually worked consistently – which honestly, after some of my other European hotel experiences, felt like a small miracle. The bathroom situation is what you’d expect for the price point, but it’s clean and the water pressure doesn’t make you want to cry. Check-in was straightforward too, none of that awkward hovering while they figure out their system. I showed up around 3 PM and was in my room within ten minutes, which left me plenty of time to explore before dinner. If you’re the type who needs a big lobby to feel fancy, this probably isn’t your spot, but if you want somewhere that feels more like staying at a design-conscious friend’s place in the heart of the city, it really hits the mark.

  The apartment is stylishly decorated (just like the photos), in an easy to reach location, just a couple of minutes was from the no.8 tram directly from the central station. We were greeted on arrival and given a helpful, quick tour of the property. It was spotlessly clean and it looked like a lot of thought had been given to provide everything we could want. Eating in was easy with lots of kitchen equipment provided but it was great to eat out with some lovely restaurants within 15-30mins walk – our favourite was Casa Thai (but recommend booking as it’s very popular!).
