I spent a good chunk of one afternoon just sitting by the window watching Rotterdam life happen below – there’s something oddly relaxing about it.

Location-wise, this is where the place really shines. Westerstraat puts you within walking distance of pretty much everything you’d want to see, but you’re not dealing with the tourist chaos of some other areas. The Markthal is maybe a 10-minute walk, and you can easily get to the waterfront or hop on public transport without any hassle. What I found especially handy was having actual grocery stores nearby – not just touristy convenience shops, but real places where locals shop. That kitchenette suddenly becomes way more valuable when you can grab fresh bread and good coffee just around the corner. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel that I really liked; you’ll see people heading to work in the morning, kids on bikes, that sort of authentic city rhythm that makes you feel less like a tourist and more like you’re just temporarily living there. Sure, it’s not luxury – the bathroom’s compact and you won’t find a concierge desk downstairs – but honestly, that’s part of what makes it work. Sometimes you just want a solid, comfortable base where you can crash between exploring, and this studio delivers exactly that without any unnecessary fuss.

  What could be improved: The ceiling shown in the pictures is no longer there. All the tubes are exposed, and you can hear the pipes every time the neighbors flush or shower. Additionally, the small window above the door is just a thin plank that can probably be easily pushed open from the outside. To enter there is a keypad, and you cannot lock the door from the inside. Since the apartment is directly by the street, an extra lock on the inside would make it feel much safer, especially for solo travelers.

  Location, WiFi and easy for check-in and to get access to the room. Kitchen had everything needed + Iron and washing machine.
  
  What could be improved: Heater was not working properly. The door let in (very cold) air from outside and the bathroom was freezing cold. They left food from the previous person in the freezer and the TV remote either didn't work or the batteries were dead.

  Le logement était assez spacieux, facile à trouver et y accéder.
  Il y avait le nécessaire à l'intérieur et il est idéal pour une (voire deux) personne(s), mais pas plus.
  
  What could be improved: Le fait que la lumière extérieure (je ne sais pas si elle est rattachée à l'appart) soit allumée toute la nuit, car c'était compliqué pour dormir car trop forte, sinon, rien à reprocher.
