Midtown Hotel Rotterdam
About
First Impressions
Walking up to Midtown Hotel Rotterdam on Delftsestraat, you immediately get that "right in the thick of things" feeling. This three-star property sits smack in the center of Rotterdam, and honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering. The building has that classic Dutch urban charm — nothing flashy, but solid and welcoming. You know you're staying somewhere that locals actually walk past every day, which I always find more authentic than those sterile hotel districts.
Location & Neighborhood
Here's the thing about Rotterdam's centrum — it's not like Amsterdam's tourist-packed center. You're genuinely in a working, breathing part of the city where actual Rotterdammers go about their daily lives. From Midtown Hotel Rotterdam, you can walk to the iconic Markthal in about ten minutes, and the waterfront with all those stunning modern skyscrapers is just as close. The Delftsestraat location means you're surrounded by local cafés and shops, not just tourist traps. I mean, when couples rate the location 8.0 out of 10, they're onto something — there's romance in being able to stroll through authentic Rotterdam streets together.
The Hotel Experience
What strikes me about this place is how it doesn't try to be something it's not. It's a solid three-star hotel that focuses on the essentials — clean, comfortable rooms and genuinely helpful staff who know their city. The lobby feels more like a boutique property than a chain hotel, with that understated Dutch design sense. You won't find a spa or rooftop bar here, but you will find everything you actually need for exploring Rotterdam. The rooms are well-sized for European standards, and the beds are properly comfortable (which, let's be honest, is what really matters after a day of walking around the city).
Getting Around Rotterdam
One of the best things about staying at Midtown Hotel Rotterdam is how connected you are to everything. Rotterdam's excellent tram system runs right through the centrum, so you can easily reach places like the Erasmus Bridge or take a day trip to Kinderdijk to see those famous windmills. But honestly, you'll probably end up walking more than you expect — Rotterdam is surprisingly compact, and the city center has this energy that makes you want to explore on foot. The hotel staff actually knows the public transport system well, which isn't always a given at smaller properties.
Why Guests Love It
That 8.4 location score isn't just a number — it reflects how this hotel puts you right where you want to be in Rotterdam. You're close enough to the major sights that you don't waste time commuting, but far enough from the main tourist drag that you get a real feel for the city. The 7.8 overall rating tells the story of a place that consistently delivers what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. It's the kind of hotel where you spend your time exploring Rotterdam rather than hanging around the property, which is exactly what you want in a city this dynamic and architecturally fascinating.
To book hotel in Rotterdam during the spectacular North Sea Jazz Festival, visitors should make reservations well in advance as this innovative port city attracts millions of tourists from around the world seeking modern architecture and Dutch maritime heritage.

The shareholders Mo and Natasja were like a family members to us for feel good and comfortable 😇
Cleanliness,location, access to parking
Close to the metro station, train station and city center.
Large room, great central location with easy access to public transport.
Short 10 min walk from Central Station. The room was clean & comfortable. But it was a bit disconcerting with one-way glass right onto the footpath which was hard to get used to.
The owner was very helpful fixing the few problems that occurred. And the location was great, the room was clean and a good size, it was comfortable and the facilities were good (although a microwave and/or toaster would have been useful in the kitchen).
it’s near central station Netflix snacks
The location was excellent quite central
Big room, with very comfortable beds. Check-in without any problems. Great localization if you need or want to be in the city centre.
My friends and i really enjoyed our stay in the Midtown Hotel! The room and bathroom was nice, clean and spacious and we felt in good hands due to the host Natasja. She was honestly so helpful, always made sure we were okay and gave us tips for the city.
