Hotel Port Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Hotel Port, I wasn’t expecting much from this three-star place. The exterior is pretty understated, nothing flashy, but once you step inside there’s actually a really welcoming vibe that caught me off guard. The lobby has this sort of nautical theme going on (which makes sense given the name), with some weathered wood accents and maritime prints that don’t feel too kitschy. You know what I mean – it’s themed but not in an over-the-top way that makes you cringe.
The rooms are honestly better than I anticipated for a mid-range spot. Mine had decent space to spread out, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable – I’m pretty picky about mattresses and actually slept well here. The bathroom was clean and functional, though the shower pressure could’ve been stronger. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stayed at night; I mean, you might catch some street noise if you’re facing the main road, but it wasn’t anything that kept me awake. The Wi-Fi worked reliably too, which isn’t always a given at places in this price range.
Here’s the thing that really won me over – the staff genuinely seemed to care about making your stay decent. When I had trouble with my room key card (happened twice, actually), the front desk sorted it out quickly without making me feel like an inconvenience. They also gave me solid local recommendations that weren’t just the typical tourist traps – pointed me toward this little café about three blocks away that had incredible coffee and wasn’t overrun with crowds.
Look, this isn’t going to blow you away with luxury amenities or Instagram-worthy interiors, but sometimes you just want a clean, comfortable place to sleep without breaking the bank. The value here is really solid – you’re getting dependable service and a good night’s rest without paying premium prices. If you’re the type who spends most of your time exploring anyway and just needs a reliable base, Hotel Port delivers exactly what it promises.

Great service and comfortable rooms

The position was practical, and there was always parking available nearby (and not too expensive). The room was essential, comfortable, very practical and very clean, and the bathroom was not too big but the shower was excellent.

Location is good, staff is service-minded. Breakfast is very simple and basic. The whole hotel is old, if using the staircase, very narrow and tight, be careful. If you're are choosing the room with bathtub, yes it's big for 2 pers but deep, that means be careful when stepping out there and don't fall. In general, a cosy and simple hotel.
