There’s decent parking nearby – not always a given in busy areas – and I noticed several good coffee spots and casual restaurants within easy walking distance that clearly cater to people who actually live there, not just tourists.

Look, this isn’t the kind of place you’ll be bragging about on social media, but sometimes that’s exactly what you want. It’s reliable, reasonably priced, and run by people who seem to genuinely care about making sure you have what you need. If you’re the type of traveler who’d rather spend money on experiences than an overpriced hotel room you’ll barely use, Hotel Light delivers exactly what it promises – nothing more, nothing less, and that’s actually pretty refreshing.

  We had a very nice, warm room. The room was very quiet, no noises at all. Nice comfy duvet, kettle in the room. The location is very good, lots of bike rentals available and close to the galleries.

  Excellent location, ideal for touring Rotterdam centrum, within 10 to 15 min walk, yet lovely quiet location away from the hussle and bussle, also just a 10 to 15 min walk from train station, very friendly and helpful staff, hotel was very very clean.

  Good location. If you turn left out of property, walk to the station and restaurants is well lit and bustling. Staff were kind with front desk manned until 11pm making it feel safe.
