Hotel Emma
About
First Impressions
Walking up to Hotel Emma on Nieuwe Binnenweg, you immediately get that "this is exactly where I want to be" feeling. The three-star property sits right in Rotterdam's buzzing Centrum district, and honestly, the location alone makes it worth considering. I mean, you're literally in the thick of everything — which can be rare to find at this price point in Rotterdam. The building itself has character without trying too hard, and there's something refreshingly unpretentious about the whole setup that I really appreciated.
Location & Neighborhood
Here's the thing about Nieuwe Binnenweg — it's one of those streets that locals actually use, not just a tourist thoroughfare. You've got the Witte de Withstraat (Rotterdam's cultural spine) just a short walk away, plus the main shopping areas are all within easy reach. What I loved is that couples seem to absolutely adore this spot — they've rated the location 9.0 for romantic getaways, and I can see why. The neighborhood has this perfect mix of local cafes, interesting shops, and actual Rotterdam life happening around you. You're close enough to everything important but far enough from the cruise ship crowds that sometimes overwhelm the city center.
The Room Experience
The rooms at Hotel Emma strike that sweet spot between comfortable and functional without any unnecessary frills. You know what I mean — everything works, it's clean, and you actually want to spend time there beyond just sleeping. The setup feels thoughtfully designed rather than just thrown together, which isn't always a given with three-star places. I particularly appreciated that they seem to understand what travelers actually need (good lighting, decent storage, reliable wifi) rather than focusing on flashy extras that don't matter much.
Breakfast & Practical Matters
The continental breakfast does exactly what it should — gets you properly fueled for exploring Rotterdam without any fuss. It's not going to blow your mind, but it's fresh, reliable, and honestly quite satisfying. What really sets Hotel Emma apart though is the private parking situation. If you're driving in Rotterdam (which can be... well, let's just say challenging), having guaranteed parking at your hotel is genuinely valuable. Most places in this area either don't offer parking or charge premium rates for it, so this is actually a bigger deal than it might seem at first glance.
Why Guests Love It
That 8.0 rating and 9.1 location score aren't accidents — Hotel Emma simply delivers on what matters most to travelers. You're getting solid three-star comfort in one of Rotterdam's most walkable neighborhoods, with practical perks like parking that make your stay smoother. It's the kind of place where everything just works without drama, which is exactly what you want when you're trying to explore a city like Rotterdam. The fact that couples keep raving about it tells you something too — there's a certain charm here that goes beyond just checking boxes.
Many travelers prefer to book apartments in Rotterdam through trusted local agencies that provide insider knowledge about the best districts for experiencing the city's maritime atmosphere and architectural diversity.

Simple nice and clean! Easy check in and out. Helpful workers! :)
great room and not far away from the centre. free coffee and tea available and staff was very nice. pretty large room too.
comfortable bedroom, close by the WTC where I had a conference day to attend. very nice and helpful personel. they even allowed me to leave my car in the parking until the end of the next day - after the workshop. thank you. breakfast in the Baker and More was very nice and tasty, although I would have liked a second cup of coffee.
Good location, nice room.
I like everything
Loved how the hotel was an easy walk to Centraal Station, tourist attractions (e.g. Markthal, Cube Houses, Natural History Musuem) and had free-flow coffee & tea in the lobby! Staff were always courteous and were able to help us store our luggage after checkout (for about 2 hours)
Easy walk from Rotterdam CS, good location, kind staff, clean room/bathroom and decent bed.
Location is central and convenient for station, shopping, restaurants and trams. From outside the hotel you can take trams to all over Rotterdam and further. The city trams continue to the beach at Hook of Holland, to The Hague, and other places. The friendly staff helped us park our bikes at the rear of the building, and the in-house handy-person instantly arrived to unblock our shower!
The hotel, staff and room were great. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
