Here’s something I didn’t expect – the neighborhood around Rijnhaven has this great mix of old industrial Rotterdam and newer development. You can walk to the Maritime Museum in about ten minutes, and there’s this excellent coffee place called Locals that the hotel staff actually recommended (not some tourist trap). The whole Katendrecht area is right there too, which used to be pretty rough but now has some fantastic restaurants. Parking was straightforward since you’re a bit outside the city center chaos, though you’ll want to book a spot in advance during summer.

The thing is, staying here feels like you’re part of Rotterdam’s whole reinvention story – this city that got bombed flat and rebuilt itself as something completely different. These floating pods aren’t trying to be luxury, they’re just genuinely creative and well-executed. Sure, the walls are thin enough that you’ll hear your neighbors if they’re having a party, but most people who choose this place seem to get what it’s about. I’d definitely come back, probably in late spring when you can actually enjoy that little deck area without freezing.

  the spectacularity of the location end the nice extra features that the house has. The jacuzzi, super nice! especially the possibility to jump into the canals water.

Bars , restaurants, supermarkets, and two indoor car parks are close by. Panoramic view of the lake and the modern skyscrapers. Comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen and bathroom.
