What really impressed me was how thoughtfully everything’s been designed – the owners clearly understand what travelers actually need. The free parking situation is honestly a godsend (anyone who’s tried to park in Dutch cities knows what I mean), and having that private garden means you can actually sit outside with your morning coffee without feeling like you’re on display. The interior feels surprisingly spacious for a boat, and there’s this lovely sense of gentle movement that’s somehow both relaxing and exciting at the same time.

The location works really well too – you get that unique waterside experience without being completely isolated from everything you might need. I found myself just sitting by the windows watching the water and other boats drift by, which became this unexpectedly meditative part of each day. The hosts have thought of practical details that matter, like proper Wi-Fi and comfortable bedding, so you’re not sacrificing comfort for the novelty factor.

Honestly, with a 9.5 rating, this place delivers on creating something memorable without trying too hard. It’s perfect if you want to experience Dutch water culture firsthand but still have your own space to retreat to.   What a fabulous place! Where do we even start with what we liked?? Its serenity, beauty of the interior and exterior, the location (close to public transport, close to excellent choice of restaurants, close to supermarket), the friendliness, and reliability of our hosts!!!

  As I told Franz (the owner), the property was amazing. Pictures didn't show how awesome it was staying on the canal. Boaters came by and waved as local bird wildlife said hello. It was right next to the train station and it was one stop away from Rotterdam Central. This property made us want to visit Rotterdam again.

  The property was fantastic. Right on the water. Two lovely bedrooms upstairs – note the staircase is a spiral staircase which may be unsuitable for some people / small children. Large living area and kitchen downstairs.

  Locatie was prachtig, rustig en toch in de grote stad, vlakbij het openbaar vervoer, dus alles goed bereikbaar.

  Tout était parfait ! Bel accueil, endroit tranquille, près du métro, très propre et vraiment bien équipé. Que dire du site : maison flottante sur un canal., avec canards, héron, cygnes, gens faisant de l’aviron et beaux petits bateaux qui passaient. Formidable endroit ! Sécuritaire et stationnement disponible gratuit ! Épicerie tout près aussi. Donc, à recommander. On y retournerait demain. Bravo pour offrir cet établissement.
