The kitchenette situation is actually useful (not just decorative like in so many hotels), and the bathroom has one of those rainfall showers that – well, let’s just say I took longer showers than usual. The whole setup feels like staying in a really well-designed apartment rather than a generic hotel room, which honestly makes the 9.4 rating make complete sense.

Location-wise, you’re right in the thick of things without dealing with the tourist chaos. I could walk to the Markthal in about ten minutes, and there’s this fantastic coffee place just around the corner that locals actually go to – not one of those overpriced tourist traps. The tram connections are solid too, so getting to places like the Erasmus Bridge or even out to the port area is pretty straightforward. Parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving (this is Rotterdam city center, after all), but the staff actually gave me some insider tips on where to find spots that won’t cost you a fortune.

Here’s the thing that really impressed me – the service feels genuine rather than scripted. The front desk folks actually know the neighborhood and can point you toward stuff that’s worth your time. They helped me find this incredible Indonesian restaurant that I never would have discovered otherwise, and when my room’s heating was acting up one evening, they sorted it out within twenty minutes. For a three-star place, that kind of attention to detail is pretty rare, and it shows why this spot consistently gets such high ratings from people who’ve actually stayed there.

  Beautiful, clean, comfortable apartment.

  Small but cozy appartament.
  It had all we need to cook and more.
  It was pretty clean. Less than a 10 minutes walk from the subway and 5 minuts walk from a supermarket, which is great.
  The owner was super friendly.
  We didn't use the laundry room so I don't know how good that space is.

  Very nice host; he even allowed us to stay until whenever we wanted on the check-out date, which is the first time I've ever encountered such flexibility! The amenities in the apartment are also good; it was clean, and everything looked very new. Additionally, the location of the apartment is excellent – it is very close to the center of Rotterdam
