PREMIER SUITES Rotterdam Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked into PREMIER SUITES Rotterdam, I wasn’t expecting much from what seemed like another business hotel. But you know what? This four-star place actually surprised me in the best possible way. The lobby has this understated elegance that doesn’t scream “look at me,” and the staff genuinely seemed to care about getting you sorted quickly – no fake smiles or robotic greetings here.
What really won me over were the suites themselves, and I mean, they’re proper suites with separate living areas that don’t feel cramped or awkwardly laid out. The kitchenette actually has everything you need if you want to grab some Dutch cheese from the market and skip the overpriced room service (though honestly, their breakfast spread is pretty decent). The beds are that perfect firmness where you sink in just enough without feeling like you’re drowning in marshmallow, and the blackout curtains – crucial in Rotterdam where the summer sun starts creeping in around 5 AM.
Here’s the thing about Rotterdam that most people don’t realize until they visit – it’s not Amsterdam, and that’s exactly why I love staying here. The city has this gritty, rebuilt-from-scratch energy since the war, and you’re right in the thick of it without the tourist chaos. From PREMIER SUITES, you can actually walk to the Markthal in about ten minutes (grab the stroopwafels from the corner stand, trust me), and the Erasmus Bridge is close enough that you’ll probably end up walking across it multiple times just because it looks so damn cool, especially at sunset.
What sealed the deal for me was the little stuff – parking that doesn’t cost a fortune, elevators that actually work quickly, and rooms that stay quiet even when there’s construction happening nearby (which, let’s face it, is always happening somewhere in Rotterdam). The housekeeping team clearly takes pride in their work, and the front desk folks know the neighborhood well enough to point you toward the good Indonesian place around the corner instead of just handing you a generic tourist map. It’s the kind of place where you’ll sleep well, have space to spread out, and feel like you’re staying somewhere that gets what travelers actually need.

Prime location, just across the Central Train station, so no problems with late arrivals or early departures. Rooms are well equipped, of comfortable size. Staff are super helpful and also non-intrusive. Pantry at the lobby is well stocked and very convenient. The complimentary coffee machine is very attractive there.
