Museumpark Apartments Overview

Look, I’ll be straight with you about Museumpark Apartments – it’s one of those places that quietly does everything right without making a big fuss about it. When I first walked up to the building on Eendrachtsweg, honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from a three-star setup. But you know what? Sometimes the best finds are the ones that surprise you.

The location is actually brilliant if you know Rotterdam at all. You’re literally a few minutes’ walk from the Boijmans Van Beuningen Museum and the Kunsthal – I mean, you can see why they called it Museumpark Apartments, right? But here’s the thing locals know: you’re also perfectly positioned for the real Rotterdam experience. The Witte de Withstraat (where all the good bars and galleries hang out) is basically around the corner, and you can walk to the Markthal in about ten minutes. I’ve stayed in fancier places that were way less convenient for actually experiencing the city.

The apartments themselves have this clean, unfussy vibe that I really appreciated. Nothing fancy, but everything works – and honestly, after dealing with boutique hotels where the shower barely functions, that matters more than you’d think. The kitchenettes are small but functional (perfect for morning coffee and storing those Dutch cheeses you’ll inevitably buy), and the beds are surprisingly comfortable. I actually slept better here than at some four-star places I’ve tried. The building itself is quiet too, which is saying something since you’re right in the Centrum district. Sure, you’ll hear some street noise during the day, but it dies down by evening – very manageable.

What I really liked was how the staff just… knew stuff. When I asked about getting to the Erasmus Bridge for photos, the guy at reception didn’t just give me directions – he told me the best time to go (just before sunset, apparently) and mentioned this little café nearby that locals actually use. That kind of insider knowledge you can’t fake. The whole operation feels like it’s run by people who actually live in Rotterdam and want you to experience it properly, not just check boxes on a tourist itinerary. For the price point, especially in a city where accommodation can get pretty expensive, it’s genuinely solid value. I’d definitely stay here again – and I’ve already recommended it to friends planning their own Rotterdam trips.

  • Perfect location and price and amazing hosts, would stay again – Joe from United Kingdom – June 4, 2025 (8/10)

The location is perfect as it is very close to metro and tram lines and walking distance to Central station. Hosts were fast to fix any issues we had with the apartment and helped when there were problems.

  • Pleasant – Daniel from United States – May 25, 2025 (6/10)

    Great location, refurbished bathroom.

What could be improved: Very basic. Get for location and price only.

  • Cosy place to crash – Declan from Ireland – April 21, 2025 (8/10)

Great value for money if you will be travelling most of the time and just crashing at night. Easy to heat the rooms if needed. Good shower pressure. Highly convenient location, pretty much a straight walk from Rotterdam Centraal Station.

What could be improved: The TV is quite outdated and could not handle functions such as casting. The drainage in the shower was quite poor.

  • Great location, lovely flat, steep stairs, silly entry system. – Will from United Kingdom – April 1, 2024 (8/10)

The location is great. The flat is lovely.

What could be improved: The whole WiFi key thing is ridiculous, if my phone had died I would’ve been screwed.

  • This is a really good base for a stay in Rotterdam especially if you like to use a kitchen! – Hilary from United Kingdom – July 31, 2023 (8/10)

Quiet but central location, good facilities, enough space, well equipped kitchen, felt safe, was light and airy. Windows opened (mostly). We could contact the agency when needed.

What could be improved: A couple of things were not repaired or replaced eg pillow cases were worn out, one window did not close properly.

  • Great stay, comfortable beds, awesome location and fantastic contact with staff when needed Thankyou – Kylie from Australia – December 29, 2022 (8/10)

Location was great, apartment was clean and really comfortable. Nice little welcome pack.

What could be improved: No hooks to hang up towels in bathroom as it was a little tight trying to keep tidy. Better cleaning in bottom of shower.

  • Pleasant – Bryce from Switzerland – September 16, 2025 (6/10)

Good location, close to a lot of amenities. Cozy apartment.

What could be improved: Was travelling with a young child and we were on the third floor, with steep (Dutch) stairs. Difficult to go up and down.
A lot of other guests were out very late making noise at 1,2,3 am.

  • Very nice central location apartment – Allegra from United Kingdom – September 15, 2025 (8/10)

You get an email with digital keys, very user friendly.
Apartment is big, and very nicely furnished. Location is absolutely amazing.

What could be improved: Some small things could be improved: provide soap in the bathroom, fix the bathroom handle (already mentioned in other reviews), fix the curtains in the living room which are partially detached.

  • Fun and Beautiful view – Anabel from Germany – September 11, 2025 (7/10)

The staff was super nice and replied very fast when needed! The location was also great only 14 min walk to central station.

What could be improved: Sadly we couldn’t make use of the tv because we the remote didn’t have batteries, but the staff was very nice and provided a solution.
Also the sink in the bathroom was quite small
