The kitchenette isn’t just for show either – there’s a decent grocery store about a five-minute walk away, and honestly, picking up some local cheese and bread for breakfast felt more authentic than dealing with an overpriced hotel restaurant. The neighborhood comes alive in the mornings with commuters heading to the tram stop, and you get this genuine slice of Rotterdam life that you’d miss if you stayed in the touristy areas. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle on the street, but the hotel staff pointed me toward a couple of reliable spots nearby – just don’t expect American-style convenience. The tram connections are actually fantastic though; you can get to the Markthal or the iconic cube houses in about fifteen minutes, but when you come back in the evening, you’re returning to this quieter, more residential pocket of the city. I slept better here than I did at the fancier place I stayed at in Amsterdam the week before – maybe it was the slightly thicker walls, or just the fact that Delfshaven doesn’t have drunk tourists stumbling around at 2 AM.

  Nice room, free koffie, clean, nice shower products (shampoo etc).
  
  What could be improved: The location is quite far from the city centre. One or two restaurants within walking distance.
  Shower was leaking in both rooms, so when you shower the whole bathroom fills with water.

  My first thinking was "very small room", but quickly I ignored it because it's very clean, functional and comfortable.
  The location is very quiet and at the same time near the night life of the city.
  Close to transportation (bus to airport of Rotterdam/The Hague) and places to take breakfast.
  Friendly staff and easy checkin/checkout.
  I highly recommend it and I will be back!

  The location was excellent, with a 5 minute walk to the tram and 10 minute walk to the metro. The staff was consistently warm and friendly, with lots of suggestions for things to do and see. The coffee machine and filtered water machine were also both brilliant – mornings and evenings were both made better by their presence. The simplicity was also great – check in came via a code, and checking out was as simple as saying bye and thanks. I will definitely be coming back to this location.
  
  What could be improved: I would have loved it were there gym facilities or even space in my room to exercise, but I also knew that going in that I’d need to find other facilities if I wanted to exercise (fortunately Rotterdam is a great city for walking, running, and cycling). It would also have been great if there were small washcloths, but their lack was consistent with my experiences in hotels elsewhere in Rotterdam.

  What could be improved: Rooms are simply too cramped, bad lighting in bathroom. The verification process was a major pain, I kept getting emails asking me to verify myself, yet I had done it. Disorganized computer system where things didn’t register properly. Breakfast was too expensive for what you got.
