Here’s the thing about the neighborhood that most people don’t realize – you’re perfectly positioned between the Ahoy complex and the Zuidplein shopping area, which means you can walk to concerts or events, but you’re also a quick metro ride from the city center when you want to explore. The Zuidplein station is maybe a seven-minute walk, and from there you’re in the heart of Rotterdam in about fifteen minutes. I’ve seen guests struggle with this because they think they’re stuck out in the suburbs, but honestly, the connection is seamless.

The breakfast situation deserves a mention because it’s better than you’d expect from a chain property – they’ve got local touches mixed in with the standard continental spread, and the coffee is actually drinkable (which, let’s be honest, isn’t always a given). The staff genuinely seems to know what they’re doing, too. During my second stay, they remembered my preference for a higher floor, which was a nice surprise. If you’re coming for an event at Ahoy or just want a solid base for exploring Rotterdam without dealing with city center crowds and prices, this place hits the mark. It’s not trying to be the fanciest hotel in the city, but it delivers on what it promises with some unexpected charm thrown in.

  Comfy bed, clean bathroom. Spatious room! I liked it overall! Exceptionally good breakfast and atttentive staff. Walking distance from the metro station. Very close to a big shopping center where you can find multiple stores and food options as well.

  I had a wonderful stay at this hotel just outside Rotterdam! Although it's a bit outside the city, it’s very easy to reach the center in about 10 minutes by public transport. The hotel has a spacious, paid parking area, which was very convenient. My room was larger than expected, spotless, and the bed was super comfortable. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, making my stay even better. If I’m back in Rotterdam, I’ll definitely stay here again!
