B&B Berglust Rotterdam met serre en gratis parkeren Overview
I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to B&B Berglust Rotterdam met serre en gratis parkeren, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect from the name alone. But you know what? Sometimes the places with the longest, most descriptive names are the ones that actually deliver on their promises, and this little three-star gem tucked away in the Hillegersberg-Schiebroek neighborhood absolutely does that.
The thing that struck me immediately was how quiet it felt, even though you’re still technically in Rotterdam. Berglustlaan is one of those residential streets where you can actually hear birds in the morning instead of trams – which, let me tell you, is pretty rare for this city. The free parking situation is honestly a godsend if you’re driving (and the fact that they put it right in the name tells you they know their audience). I mean, trying to find affordable parking in most Rotterdam neighborhoods can be a nightmare, so having your own guaranteed spot is worth its weight in gold.
What really makes this place special, though, is that serre – the conservatory area they mention in the name. It’s this lovely glassed-in space where they serve breakfast, and honestly, it feels like you’re dining in someone’s well-appointed garden room. The morning light streaming in is just perfect, and there’s something so civilized about starting your day there with proper coffee and local bread. The whole setup has this homey, family-run vibe that you don’t get at the bigger chain places downtown. The owners clearly put thought into the details – good linens, decent water pressure (always important!), and rooms that actually feel like rooms rather than efficiently packed boxes. Sure, it’s not going to have all the bells and whistles of a luxury hotel, but sometimes you just want a clean, comfortable place to sleep without paying through the nose for amenities you won’t use anyway. Plus, being in Hillegersberg-Schiebroek means you get that residential Rotterdam experience – tree-lined streets, local cafés, and a real sense of what it’s like to live here rather than just pass through. You can catch the metro into the city center easily enough when you want the urban action, but retreat back to this quieter pocket when you need to decompress. That 9.2 rating they’ve got? Yeah, I can see why people rate it so highly – it’s one of those places that does the basics really, really well.

Reviews of B&B Berglust Rotterdam met serre en gratis parkeren
Beautiful and cosy B&B – Charudatta from India – July 2, 2025 (10/10)
We had a truly wonderful stay at B&B Berglust. Lonneke and Duco were exceptional hosts who welcomed us warmly into their beautiful home. Their kindness and hospitality made us feel right at ease from the moment we arrived.
Our son was especially delighted by the chance to spend time with their lovely animals — rabbits, ducks, and chickens — which made the stay even more memorable for him. The breakfast prepared by Lonneke was so good
Lonneke and Duco were incredibly helpful with suggestions on places to visit, great spots to eat, and even guided us with directions when needed. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the serene boat ride they took us on — a beautiful and unique way to explore the neighbourhood.
We would absolutely love to stay with them again the next time we visit Rotterdam. Highly recommended!I felt as though I were at home. – Ellen from United States – May 21, 2025 (10/10)
It was very cute. It had all the amenities. The patio/terrace was exceptional. Nice to come home to an inviting place.
The location was perfect. Near the lake, shopping, and restaurants.
What could be improved: No complaints. It was very ideal and comfortable.Lovely, quiet place with exepcionally nice people running it. – Wojciech from Poland – February 8, 2025 (10/10)
Silence, space, uniqueness.
What could be improved: –Wonderful accommodation close to Rotterdam's centre – Eli from Bulgaria – November 28, 2024 (10/10)
The apartment was very clean and comfortable. The area is very nice and you can travel to the Rotterdam's centre in 20 min.
What could be improved: The sink was small but we were able to use it without problem.Wonderful – Radosław from Poland – May 22, 2024 (9/10)
1. The neighbourhood Hillegersberg is just great, very elegant and peaceful. We especially enjoyed the lakes.
2. The owner is truly likeable. Loved the welcome wine!
3. The red-white cat lady from the neighbourhood is very friendly, too. She even came to my bed.
4. The suite isn't very large, but it's cleverly arranged and therefore comfortable. Plus, the glassed patio adds a lot of space.
5. Everything works. I mean, all aplliances function, there's electricity in all sockets, the shower won't burn or freeze you, and so on. Whoever travels a lot, knows that's not always the case.
What could be improved: 1. The bathroom fan is a bit moody and one night didn't want to stop for many, many minutes. Nothing major, though.Perfection in beauty! – Loren from United Kingdom – April 9, 2024 (10/10)
Our stay was nothing short of perfect! A gorgeous neighbourhood, with a beautiful adventure park near by that our two children absolutely loved! Will 100% be returning in the future.
What could be improved: Nothing at allExceptional – Juanna_lopez from Portugal – September 19, 2023 (10/10)
I wanted to share my wonderful experience during my stay in Rotterdam. I absolutely loved the room; it was clean and cozy. The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which added to the overall charm of my visit.
However, what truly stood out for me was the observatory/sunroom in the room. It provided a unique and enjoyable space to relax and take in the beautiful views. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Highly recommended! 🙂Clean and cozy room with lovely hosts. – Patrick from Austria – September 11, 2023 (10/10)
We had a very nice welcome from our host and the room was clean and cozy. We also liked the kitchen equipped with everything you’d need to cook for yourself. We also got many tips from our host which really helped us to make the best out of our trip 🙂
What could be improved: –very awesome accommodation! – 思穎 from Taiwan – May 17, 2023 (10/10)
big bed, hot shower water, comfortable sofa and beautiful balcony!
What could be improved: nopeExceptional – David from United Kingdom – January 17, 2023 (10/10)
Everything was spot on.
The location may seem a bit out of town, but a regular tram into the city centre is just a minute's walk away, followed by a 15-minute ride to Rotterdam Centraal.
And Lonneke was kind enough to loan me a OV chipcard, which made travel on the metro also straightforward.
But that was typical of her and Duco. Nothing was too much trouble.
The location is also in a nice part of town, with a supermarket less than 10 minutes away.
What could be improved: Leaving, and the weather. Cold gales and heavy rain made it a home from home.
But that is hardly the hosts' responsibility.
